Installation

1. Download

Download the VirtueMart module from Downloads --> modules

2. Move files

NB! There are many files that need to be changed so it would be a good idea to backup all files that will be written over.

Unpack the file "klarna_virtuemart_vX.XX.zip" (with Winzip for example) onto your local computer with the "joomla_root" folder corresponding to the root installation folder for Joomla-Virtuemart. Copy the contents of "joomla_root" to the joomla root folder on your website.

Do you have a separate VirtueMart template? Read this

In VirtueMart, you can choose to install a separate template, one that is not a Joomla template. If you choose to do so, you must install the Klarna files in that template also. Otherwise, it will not function as intended. New VirtueMart templates will be installed in the folder: <"your joomla root">/components/com_virtuemart/themes. All the installed VirtueMart templates can be found here together with the folder named default, which is the folder that is automatically created during the installation of the VirtueMart component itself. It is in this default folder that the installation is done. However, Klarna must also be installed in these other folders. You do this by going into the Klarna module and copying the templates folder from the folder: joomla_root/components/com_virtuemart/themes/default. Paste it into the other template installations.

In order to create the necessary elements in your database, you will have to execute the code from "klarna_sql_install.txt" in your SQL system. For example, in phpMyAdmin, you can press the SQL button near the top left corner.

NB! This must be performed on a clean database. I.e. if you have an older version of the Klarna module, you must first remove it (this is done with "klarna_sql_remove.txt").



Copy and paste everything from "kreditor_sql_install.txt" file to the SQL field and then press Go.

If this does not go as planned or if you do not complete it at all, the module will not function. It is dependent on the database.
